JFGI received a grant from the National Center to Encourage Judaism to support the Taste of Hebrew series, which enables adults to learn how to decode Hebrew in just six hours!
The course will be held at local synagogues (listed below) and is open to anyone in the community — no synagogue membership needed — for a minimal charge of $18. Participants will attend four 90-minute classes on Sunday mornings and receive additional individualized support to help them learn how to read Hebrew for the first time or refresh skills that may be a bit rusty.
For more information and to register, contact Nina Price, JFGI Director of Jewish Education Initiatives, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Taste of Hebrew will be taught by Sarit Linkon, a native Israeli with decades of experience teaching Hebrew. She currently works as the Hebrew language specialist at the Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis and is also a local artist.
