The Greater Indianapolis Jewish community is proud to support the LGBTQ+ community!
The Jewish value of B'tzelem Elohim, or "everyone is created in G-d's image," calls us to view all people as holy, including the LGBTQ+ community. We uplift, celebrate, and continue to advocate for equality in policy while offering space for LGBTQ+ people.
Ami is a Hebrew name meaning "my people/my nation." It symbolizes a common connection through being queer while claiming pride in being part of the Jewish people. Ami is a new initiative to provide a space for LGBTQ+ Jews in Indianapolis through programming and advocacy.
