Rabbi Mark Covitz, is a storyteller, writer, and educator, skilled at drawing pictures with words. With over 15 years as a camp director and as a Rabbi, he has developed his storytelling style in front of countless Shabbat campfires and on bimas around the country. His craft has been further refined during thousands of story-telling sessions while driving his children to school.
Drawing on material from Biblical texts, Midrash, Jewish folklore, other cultures, and his own imagination, Mark’s stories range from entertaining, energetic, and humorous, to thought-provoking, eloquent, and meaningful. In all instances, the stories are the vehicle through which Mark warmly connects children and adults alike.
Please join us at Congregation Shaarey Tefilla for refreshments beginning at 9:30 p.m. followed by Rabbi Mark Covitz and concluding with our Selichot Service
