Hooshir A Cappella is Indiana University’s Jewish a cappella group and premiere co-ed a cappella group. Hooshir has performed around the United States in cities such as New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Akron, Louisville, Miami, Hollywood, Key Largo, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles. Recently, Hooshir had the honor of sharing the stage with Six13 and The Maccabeats, as well as opening for Matisyahu in April 2015.
Hooshir sings a mix of Jewish music, secular Israeli pop music, and American pop music and standards. The members of Hooshir are linked by a desire to share their love of song.
