Those who come for the Silly Safaris are encouraged to stay for the Megillah reading which should be done by 7:40PM

1) 9:30AM at 1112 Oakwood Trail

There are 4 mitzvos on Purim:
1) Hear the Megillah of Esther read both  Monday evening, March 13th after 7:05PM and Tuesday, March 3rd during the day.
The Indiana Jewish Discovery Center will be hosting a Megillah reading at our Family Purim Celebration (See above) on Monday March 2nd at 6PM and multiple Megillah readings on Purim day (see times above)

2) Give food or money to the needy; at least 2 separate needy people (Matanot LaEvyonim). If you need help with who to give to or how you can give, please call (317) 698-6423 or respond to this email

3) Send food gifts to at least 1 friend (Mishloach Manot)- at least 2 food items (preferably with different blessings) to at least one person.

4) Feast! Have a festive meal (which includes bread), during the day on Tuesday, March 3rd. There are multiple Purim meals happening around Indianapolis. Please call (317) 698-6423 or respond to this email if you'd like help arranging for yourself to be at 1 of them.

Do you know anyone who is in the hospital or may not be able to participate in Purim for whatever reason? Please let us know, so we can make sure they are visited during the holiday.
