The Northeast Indiana Jewish Genealogy Society is excited to welcome Bruce Colegrove, to the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2:00pm EDT for an afternoon of learning regarding:
HOLOCAUST RESEARCH FOR GENEALOGISTS
• 2:00pm – The Arolsen Archives and Other Sources for Holocaust Research: The Arolsen Archives houses the world’s largest collection of Nazi persecution records, including documents on concentration camps and forced labor. Other sources offer survivor testimonies, historical documents, and research tools. Bruce will outline these resources to help people preserve the memory and history of those affected.
• 4:00pm – Case Study of Holocaust Research: Holocaust research plays a vital role in preserving history and ensuring the world never forgets. Bruce will review how he has investigated survivor testimonies, Nazi records, and the role of bystanders and collaborators to piece together the full picture of the individuals he has researched.
Bruce Colegrove has been a teacher of Spanish and World Literature at Fort Wayne’s Canterbury High School since 1999.
