This remarkable 6 week course will explore six iconic debates in Jewish history. Starting with the questions regarding the authenticity and provenance of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the suicide at Masada. The course will continue with debates that rocked the Jewish communities of Diaspora through the Renaissance and finally, the questions we face in exploring the separation of church and state.
