Chapters 18 and 21 in Genesis relate the story of Abraham and Sarah being told that they will have a son (Genesis 18) and the actual birth of Isaac (Genesis 21).
While both stories appear straight forward, there is just enough ambiguity to raise our curiosity. The relationship between Isaac and his parents is in and of itself troublesome and will be explored.
