Our Door is Open to Your Family

Your family has a place in our community and at our Federation! Meet other families and get access to free Jewish books through our PJ Library program. Jump into raising a Jewish family as a non-Jewish parent through our Interfaith Families programming. Send your child to camp on a Federation scholarship.

We seek to welcome, reach, and serve everyone interested in finding Jewish meaning and community, including interfaith couples, the unaffiliated, LGBTQ individuals, our immigrant communities, and other underserved populations.

We celebrate the diversity of today’s Jewish individuals and households and leave behind assumptions about what Jews look like or how families are configured.

  • Hasten Hebrew Academy

The Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis, a JFGI beneficiary agency, is the community's Jewish day school (teaching a dual curriculum in general and Judaic studies) for children 18 months through 8th grade.

  • Interfaith Families

The Jewish community of Greater Indianapolis welcomes interfaith couples and families. This is just the start of broader community conversations to ensure that everyone feels welcome.

  • Parents' Night Out

Parents' Night Out creates stronger family systems by offering parents of children with special needs a respite opportunity, as well as inclusive programming for children of all abilities in a safe, Jewish environment.

  • PJ Library

The PJ Library program supports families in their Jewish journey by sending free, age-appropriate Jewish-content books and music to children every month and hosting local events.

  • Camp Scholarships

Let JFGI help your child spend the summer at Jewish overnight camp. We provide scholarships through One Happy Camper and through our own Joe and Sylvia Rothbard Family Jewish Summer Camp Program.

  • Israel Scholarships

JFGI is proud to provide subsidies for community youth to travel to Israel in the form of the Joe & Sylvia Rothbard Family Israel Youth Experience Scholarship and Israel Youth Experience Grants.

  • YoPhI (Youth Philanthropy Indy)

YoPhI aims to engage Jewish youth in the greater Indianapolis Jewish community in “doing good” through philanthropic giving and service learning grounded in Jewish values and community connection.

  • Youth Programs at the JCC

The Jewish Community Center, a JFGI constituent agency, provides youth programs such as early childhood education, afterschool care, summer day camp, sports leagues, and more!
