The Federation in cooperation with the Foundation for Jewish Camp provides incentive grants to encourage youth in grades 3-11 to participate in Jewish overnight non-profit summer camps for twelve or more days. Scholarships will be awarded to first time campers who are members of the greater Indianapolis Jewish community; at least one parent/guardian must be a member in good standing and contribute to the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis in the year the grant is awarded.
We regret that as of 2011, youth who receive an intensive Jewish experience during the school year are ineligible for the Foundation for Jewish Camp Incentive grant.
During the summer of 2016, we sent 17 first-time campers to Jewish camp through the One Happy Camper grants!
There are a limited number of scholarships and applications for all camp scholarships will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
