Prystowsky ATID
Prystowsky ATID is the advanced leadership development program of The Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis (JFGI). The objective of ATID (which means “future” in Hebrew) is to provide a meaningful educational experience that develops our emerging leaders—the future leaders of the Indianapolis Jewish community.
“I grew up Jewish in Indianapolis, but it was not until I participated in the Prystowsky ATID program that I came to appreciate the extent of the programs and services offered in our community. During Prystowsky ATID, I learned how I could support my Jewish community through words and actions, found the appropriate avenues for that support, and had my love for my Judaism and my community invigorated. I am grateful that I was selected to participate in the Prystowsky ATID program. I have found that it is short-hand for being recognized as a person who wants to foster connections, to help build a city where the Jewish organizations are looked upon as a resource and a point of pride, and who is willing to do the work to make that happen. The bonds with other members of the community as well as to Israel are a source of strength for me, and I know that I have Prystowsky ATID to thank for that.”

Prystowsky ATID V will meet monthly over the course of a year to study issues facing our community’s leadership—issues that affect the local, national, and international Jewish communities and the entire Jewish philanthropic landscape. The program also includes a leadership trip to Israel (partners/spouses are welcome) that incorporates sessions with experts in a variety of different fields, provides unique access to professionals in the forefront of Israeli society, and involves site visits of agencies supported by the Indianapolis Jewish community. At the end of the Prystowsky ATID year, participants will have acquired in-depth knowledge of how our community functions, developed an appreciation for the broader Jewish philanthropic world, formed relationships with current and future leaders, honed leadership skills, and made a commitment to bettering our world.
